SFPHV Host Inaugural Motorcycle Show

Thank you Southern Dutchess News for this beautiful article about our organization and upcoming event.

Semper Fi Parents of Hudson Valley will host its inaugural Motorcycle Show on July 17th from 1-5 pm, rain date July 18th. The event will take place at Rogers Point Boat Club, a private club, on River Road in Hyde Park. The entry fee is $15 per bike or $20 double rider.

Carmen and James “Jim” Hall are the parents of a Marine. Their daughter, Alexia, is stationed in Hawaii. Carmen is the president of the Semper Fi Parents of Hudson Valley, which supports all military branches. “ It is pretty emotional at first,” said Carmen about Alexia enlisting in the Marine Corps. This is where Semper Fi Parents of Hudson Valley assisted with information about the military system, explained Carmen. “It’s good to have parents who have already been through that, such as knowing what airlines are military-friendly,” she said as an example.

All proceeds from the event will go to the organization which was started in 2004 by Paula Zwillinger, the mother of a marine. Zwillinger’s son, Bob, was killed in action in 2005 in Fallujah.
